Laura Lee Buehrer

Laura Lee Buehrer, 61, of Temperance, Michigan passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family. Laura was born February 17th, 1962, in Oregon, Ohio to Thomas Schmidt and Linda Lebay-Gunjak.

Laura married her husband, Jeffery February 14th, 1991. They shared 32 years of marriage and two wonderful children together, Laura was most proud to be a mother and a wife. Her smile was one that could brighten any room that she walked into and she carried a light inside of her that was truly contagious.

For many years of her life Laura was an avid bowler. She traveled and competed all over, and even displayed her skills from the “Queens” women’s bowling league to kicking butt in the men’s leagues. Laura was also a dedicated crafter for most of her life. Creating beautiful scrapbooks, wreaths, paintings, even hand sewn costumes for her kids every Halloween.

Laura spent her life working many jobs at times, even two at a time! She spent most years working as an accountant for BMI Refiners Transport and Toledo Molding and Die. Not to forget her life time of serving tables and smiles for many years.

Laura’s unwavering love and compassion will be missed beyond words, but we sure were lucky to have a woman like her.

Laura is survived by her husband Jeffery, and their two children Justin and Jessica. Laura also leaves behind her brother, Joseph (Pam) Schmidt and sister Michelle (Clay) Hall, as well many beloved nieces and nephews and her special little buddy, Emryk.

Laura was preceded in death by her father Thomas (Schmidt), her step father Milan (Gunjak), her mother Linda (Gunjak), nephew Kyle (Beck) and step mother Shirley (Schmidt). A celebration of life will be held for Laura on Wednesday April 19, 2023 from 2-5 PM at the Holland Springfield Walker Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Hwy, Holland, OH 43528.
