Larry Leonard passed away on Sunday, October 20th at his home surrounded by his wife and members of his family.
Larry was born on December 19, 1938 to Irene (Speiser) and Merlin Leonard. Larry married the love of his life, Mary Cameron, on July 25, 1959, who survives. They went on to have 3 children, Cheri (Kevin) Dix, Dawn (Dan) Ball and David. They recently celebrated their 65th Anniversary. Larry and Mary had eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and eighteen nieces and nephews.
Larry was a journeyman tool and die maker working at All-Star and eventually retiring from Defiance Stamping. In his spare time Larry loved to fish, taking vacations at Rice Lake in Canada and Carp Lake, MI. Larry was also loved to go to the casino. In his retirement, Larry enjoyed The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal. He taught his grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to fish and he loved to play Euchre and checkers with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill and Keith; his daughter, Cheri; one grandchild and one niece.
If you knew Larry, you would know he did not want a fuss, therefore a private memorial will be held on Thursday and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
