Kyla N. Miller

Our beautiful Kyla Nicole Miller, age 24, tragically and unexpectedly passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026 in Flushing, Michigan. Kyla was born on June 17, 2002, in Toledo, Ohio at Toledo Hospital to Robert and Kas (Kaczala) Miller. Kyla attended Springfield Local Schools and was a passionate, caring soul who had a heart for the people she loved. She was the kind of person who would put others before herself, often carrying more than anyone knew while still finding ways to bring joy and laughter to those around her. She was an amazing daughter, a loving sister, a devoted family member, a beloved fiancée, and a cherished friend. There are no words that can truly express the impact Kyla had on the lives of those who knew and loved her. She had a way of leaving pieces of herself in the hearts of others, and the memories she created will be treasured forever.

Kyla had many passions that brought her happiness and allowed her to express herself. She loved to draw and had been drawing since high school, continuing well after graduation. She would often listen to music or watch YouTube videos while she drew. Her artwork was uniquely hers and was a beautiful way for her to express the complex emotions she carried within her. Through her drawings, she could put onto paper the feelings that were sometimes difficult to put into words. Kyla also loved playing video games, especially on Xbox, and some of her favorite memories were made playing alongside her sister, Jasmine. When they lived together, the two could spend hours playing games and even when she moved they would be on the phone for hours while playing. They laughed, cried, argued, and cursed at each other, but through it all, they always had fun and shared a bond that could never be replaced. Kyla found joy in gardening as well. She tried her hand at growing bamboo plants and vegetables, enjoying the process of growing things that she could eventually use and cook with. She loved driving and had a special appreciation for cars. She often helped her father, Robert, work on cars or figure out what needed to be fixed. She especially loved her Challenger, which she eventually had to give up, but no matter what car she had, Kyla always made it her own. She loved designing and styling her cars in a way that reflected her personality. Music was another important part of Kyla's life. It was an escape for her and a way she connected with the world around her. Her music was personal, and in many ways, listening to the songs she loved was like getting a glimpse into her heart and her story. She worked through many jobs due to her health conditions. She was working towards her CDL A. She currently had her CDL B and was a gonna be a bus driver before she passed. She worked at Brondes Ford Toledo and Enterprise Maumee. Those were her most memorable places to work and she found loving and caring coworkers she enjoyed hanging out with.

Kyla's life was far too short, but the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the memories she created will remain with us forever. She will be missed more deeply than words can ever express. Her absence leaves a space that can never be filled, but she will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who loved her.

Kyla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sharon Laberdee and Gary Kaczala.

She is survived by her parents, Robert (Kas) Miller; her siblings, Che, Jasmine (Jonathan Tiller), and Zayla Miller; her fiancée, Stephen Bacon; her uncle, Kevin Miller; her aunt, Victoria Berg; her cousins, Shawnea (Logan) Waltz, Ashley Turk (Carson Bales), and Chessa Bourdow; as well as many close friends and loved ones who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Due to certain circumstances, there will be no viewing or visitation. A celebration of Kyla's life will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, in remembrance of the beautiful life she shared with all of us. More details regarding the celebration of life will be shared on Kyla's Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support the family during this incredibly difficult time. Donations may also be made to organizations supporting suicide prevention in Kyla's memory.

Our family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cremation Society of Toledo for working with us and for taking care of our beloved sister during this incredibly difficult time.

Kyla, you were loved more than you could ever have known. Your laughter, your creativity, your stubbornness, your kindness, and all the little things that made you you will never be forgotten. We wish we could have had more time, more conversations, more laughs, and more memories with you.
