Kerry G. Swanson

Kerry G. "Ivan" Swanson passed away on March 15, 2023, in the care of Hospice in Toledo, OH. He was born on April 28,1948 in Lafayette, IN to parents Robert and Phyllis.

Kerry received a bachelor's degree from Ball State University and masters in counseling from West Texas State University. Kerry's professional career moved him to Michigan where he worked in Hillsdale and then Kalamazoo. Kerry's only son was born in November of 1986 in Marshall, MI. In 2020, Kerry moved to Toledo, OH to be closer to his son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren.

Kerry enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching sporting events, tennis, and following his son's baseball career.

Kerry is survived by his son, Robert (Megan) Swanson; sister, Susan (Jim) Hockenberry; grandchildren, Jaseyrae and Ava Swanson.

A Celebration of Life will occur at a later date. Kerry's family would like to thank Hospice of NW Ohio for their care. Those who wish to donate in Kerry's memory are asked to donate to Hospice of NW Ohio.
