Kent Alan Mock

Kent Alan Mock, 49, formerly of Mansfield, passed away of natural causes on April 24th, 2011. Kent was born in Massillon, Ohio on December 17th, 1961 to William F. and Paula D. (Ackerman) Mock. Kent attended Malabar High School and graduated from Sylvania Northview in 1980. He worked at Heidtman Steel in Toledo. Kent had a great appreciation for the outdoors, enjoying camping and gardening. He also loved his pets, and liked working on motors and all things mechanical. Kent is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Sara J. & Matthew Mason of Spring, TX, his mother Paula D. (Ackerman) Mock of Mansfield, his brother Steven Mock of Lucas, his sister and brother-in-law Susan D. & Mark McBride of Mansfield, stepmother Gayle M. Mock of Granville, stepsister and brother-in-law Kimberly & Brad Bumpus of Dresden, stepbrother and sister-in-law Kevin & Mary-Alice Simon of Maine; and nieces and nephews Kyle, Baker, Miles, Kyrie, Keagan, and Luke; and also his friends Lynette McPherson and Michael Metzger of Toledo. Kent is preceded in death by his father William F. Mock, a brother David W. Mock, his grandparents Francis and Verna Mock, and Paul and Doretha Ackerman. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 30th at 11:00 at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 2 Marion Ave, Mansfield, Ohio 44903. Services will be conducted by Reverend Dawn Denato.
