Toledo

Kenneth “Kenny” Winslow, 68, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Kenny was born on July 19, 1957. He graduated from Whitmer High School and went on to work as a skilled Tool and Die Maker, a profession that reflected his intelligence, creativity, and remarkable ability to build and fix nearly anything.

Kenny was a man with a brilliant mind and an adventurous spirit. He had a deep love for astronomy and spent countless nights gazing into the sky searching for stars, planets, constellations, nebulas, and the many mysteries of space that fascinated him. He loved everything about the universe and found peace and wonder in the darkness of the night sky. His appreciation for darkness also showed through his love for Ozzy Osbourne and music that reflected his unique spirit.

Kenny also enjoyed NASCAR, building and flying model airplanes, and sharing his many passions with those he loved. He was incredibly intelligent, creative, and endlessly curious about the world around him.

More than anything, Kenny loved his family. His time was the greatest gift he could give, and he gave it freely to those he cared about most. He loved all animals deeply and made sure to instill that same compassion and appreciation for life in his children and grandchildren. His love, wisdom, humor, and presence will be missed beyond words.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Karen Winslow; his daughters, Christina Krontz (Sean Perry) and April Futrel (Paul); his eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Nevaeh, Alyssa, Bentley, Ausyn, Taylor, Justyn, and Paul; and his three great-grandchildren, Loveland, Sifanna, and Vincent.

He is also survived by his mother, Connie; his sister, Jennifer (Bob); and his brother, Daniel (Peg).

Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Winslow.

Though his family’s hearts are broken, they find comfort knowing Kenny’s spirit now rests among the stars he loved so much.

Per Kenny’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no additional services will be held at this time.
