Kenneth L. Whiteman

Kenneth L. “Ken” Whiteman, 83, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away on June 24, 2013, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after enduring several years of dementia.He was born on June 16, 1930, in Clay Township, Ohio to Carl and Hazel (Lowe) Whiteman. Ken was the owner of Whiteman Land Service for 52 years specializing in land clearing and constructing ponds working along side of his son Gary, who will continue on. Ken enjoyed farming, attending tractor shows and fishing. He was a member of the Oak Harbor Congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses.Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Edelgard (Edie); children, Gary Whiteman and Petra (Chris) Munson; grandchildren, Jeffrey Whiteman and Tiffany Whiteman; great-grandson, Brantley; sister, Dorothy J. (Marvin) Gackstetter, and his sister-in-law, Herta Johnson along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Ken is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold.The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses, aides and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for his care in his final days.
