Kenneth R. Kocsis, age 79, of Swanton, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Regency Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He was born on July 26, 1940 in Berea, Ohio to the late George Kocsis and Marie Kocsis-Weber. He married Alice Taylor, his wife of 58 years, on April 22, 1961 at the Eaton Church of Christ; together they shared 58 years of marriage. Ken was employed at Concrete Masonry Company in Elyria for 25 years and retired from Johns Manville in Waterville after 25 years. He was involved with the Johns Manville Fire Brigade and was a Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. He enjoyed looking at maps, researching Smokey Mountain cabins, putting together puzzles, attending country concerts, spending time at the Toledo Zoo, and playing a round of mini golf. Most importantly, he loved the time shared with his family. Ken was a devoted husband and possessed unconditional love toward his wife, Alice. He was a friend to all and made a lasting impression to anyone he encountered. Ken is survived by his wife, Alice Kocsis; children, Tammy (Kent) Kring, Kelly (Cipriano) Loeffler, Rodney (Roxann) Kocsis; 4 grandchildren, as well as 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be held at Oak Openings Lodge, 5440 Wilkins Road, Whitehouse on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm.
