Keith D. Klein, Sr.

May 17, 1956 — April 28, 2025

Keith Douglas Klein Sr., passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2025. He was born in Toledo, OH on May 17,1956, to Betty Lou Woody and Eugene Klein. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Dana Klein. Keith is survived by his three children, Keith Jr. (Julie), Kasie (Justin) and Josh (Brittany); his grandchildren Kade, Sawyer, Jayce, Emaree and Caelum; his brother, Dale; and girlfriend of 15 years, Linda.

Keith was born and raised in Point Place, he graduated from Woodward High School. He loved his children and grandchildren; he loved life. That life was full of moments of impact, that took him on quite a journey only some people know. Later, he moved to downtown Toledo, where he lived high above the city lights in his penthouse apartment. Here, you would find him drafting and painting, music always playing in the background, a brush in one hand, a drink in the other and a smile on his face. He had a passion for music and art. For many years, Keith was employed by Casey Sign Co. and Toledo Sign Co. During his career he created many masterpieces; one being the suited man sign at the Gibraltar Trade Center, which was one of his proudest designs; to all of the local businesses in Toledo and surrounding areas, you may not have known was a product of his artistic visions. Keith enjoyed a good prank and loved to laugh. His smile and piercing blue eyes will be missed by many; especially if, like his children and grandchildren, his eyes shone upon and his laugh, a result of enjoying the moments that were had. Eventually his path took him to the village of Swanton, where he had resided for the last 3 years.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 11 am -1 pm at Pilliod Park in Swanton, OH. The family is asking you join them in celebrating, through Keiths’ love language of music and art; the ultimate design, of Life.
