Kay Lubinski, age 71, of Maumee, Ohio, peacefully passed away on March 4, 2022 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Kay was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 3, 1951 and graduated from McAuley High School in 1969. Kay was married to Daniel Lubinski on January 9, 1970; they were married for 52 years. Before retiring, Kay worked as a medical assistant for much of her life. During retirement she worked as a crossing guard for Maumee City Schools, a job that she enjoyed for many years. She loved drinking wine, dancing to Michael Jackson and spending time with friends and family Kay is survived by Daniel; daughters, Hollie (Michael) Potter and Amanda (Mike) Laursen; sisters, Kim (Reed) Werts and Jen (Scott) Dennis; brother, David Lowman; 3 grandchildren, Hunter (Alec) White, Kennedy (Curtis) Potter and Gage (Kylie) Laursen; many nieces, nephews and great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Billie Detzer, as well as John Lowman. There will be no visitation or memorial services held. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that you make a contribution to any of the local animal shelters in her honor. Special thanks to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and Manor of Perrysburg for their compassion and the exceptional care they provided throughout Kay's journey.
