Kathy Knapp

Kathy S. Knapp, age 65, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on March 27, 2016, surrounded by family and friends. Kathy was born in Toledo, Ohio, on February 15, 1951, to Don and Mary Knapp. She is a 1969 graduate of the Cosmetology program at Whitney Vocational Tech High School. A long time small business owner, Kathy styled many Toledoans as the vivacious and memorable proprietor of Foxys Hair Studio, located downtown in the Spitzer Building. A born stylist, Kathy was a creative force at hair shows and brought cutting edge techniques back to her hometown salon. She was an animal lover who enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially near the water with a joyful group of friends and family near. She is survived by her loving daughters Michele (Jim) and Amanda (Chad); beloved grandchildren Elijah, Evan, and Miranda; sister Pam (Dan); brothers Rick (Sue), Tom (Patty), and Michael; dear family friend, Joyce; and many nieces and nephews. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Cheryl. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the ICU staff at St. Annes and Wellsbrook Home Health Care. Join us on April 10, 2016, for a celebration of Kathys life at The Lodge at Strawberry Acres Park, 950 S. McCord, Holland, Ohio, from 2:00 to 5:00. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Planned Pethood or the Humane Society of Toledo.
