Kathleen Marie “Kathy” Rahn was born on November 18, 1951, in Toledo, Ohio, to Joseph Anthony Gal and Verna L. Gal. A devoted mother and grandmother, talented cook, and lifelong crafter, Kathleen brought passion and care to the things she did and the people she loved.

Kathleen grew up in Toledo and attended Macauly High School. She married and raised three daughters, filling their childhoods with homemade meals, handmade Halloween costumes, and traditions they would carry into their own families. She was an enthusiastic PTO mom in the Anthony Wayne school system, always crafting, volunteering, and taking part in school activities.

As her daughters grew older, Kathleen pursued her own interests with curiosity and determination. She worked at the airport and earned her pilot’s license, ran for school board, and earned her school bus driving license. After driving a school bus for several years, she went on to earn her CDL and join the Teamsters Union Local 20. She enjoyed trying new things and was willing to learn what it took to get started.

Kathleen is survived by her three daughters, Kathryn (Randall) Martinez, Melissa (Bill) Stuart, and Christin (James) Skinner; and her four beloved grandchildren, Morgan, Tula, Henry, and Scarlett.

Kathleen will be dearly missed and forever remembered by her family and all who knew and loved her.
