Kathleen R. Brummett, age 81 of Oregon, OH passed away July 14th, 2026.
She was born March 9th, 1945 to Bill and Maryann Barrell. She graduated from Whitmer High School and graduated from Owens College with a Nursing Degree.
Kathy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and many animals over the years.
She also enjoyed sewing, which many were the recipient of her quality workmanship. She was very talented.
Kathy is survived by her sons, Scott Upton, Don Upton (Kristie) and Steve Upton (Wendy); sisters, Susan Young, Becky (Thom) Darga and brother, Jim Barrell. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Kelsey, Jeremy, Courtney, Josh, Brendan, Jacob, Emily, Owen, and Caleb. She will be greatly missed.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Maryann Barrell; daughter, Debbie Degrie; sister, Joann Spencer, brother-in-law, Reggie Young; and sister-in-law, Barb Barrell.
A celebration of life will be determined at later date.
The family asks for any donations to be sent to the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.
