Kathie C. Eaton

December 11, 1946 — March 27, 2021

“You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race and have kept the faith” - 2 Timothy 4:7 Kathie was surrounded by her family as angels carried her into the Lord’s presence on Saturday, March 27, 2021 after fighting her 24-year battle with cancer. The battle was won, and her courageous victory was Heaven. Kathie, 74 was born in Lansing, MI on December 11, 1946. Those who knew Kathie, knew how much she loved the Lord, Jesus Christ. Kathie had a ministry. Her ministry was her cancer. Every time she would have her treatments, she would minister to others by providing comfort and reassurance by sharing what Jesus had taught her in His Word during her moments in prayer. Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, “Be Still and Know that I Am God” - Psalm 46:10. She wanted others to know that same kind of strength and courage Jesus taught her and not fear the unexpected. She never looked back and always moved forward with joy in her heart. We will miss her infectious strength, her smile, her beauty, her creativity, her charm, her laughter, and every family gathering that she made so special. But most of all, her attentive love that she graciously poured out to her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Kathie is survived by her loving and caring husband Ron of 52 years, her daughter Sherri and husband Manuel Guedea of Leonard MI, her daughter Kerri and husband Rick Daniels of Adrian, MI. She loved her grandchildren, Jacob Eaton and Elijah Daniels, and her great grandchildren Aras and Camila Eaton with all her heart. Sisters, Mary (Jim) Shafer, Sue (Mike) Bockrath and sister-in-law, Cathy Look, brother-in-law, Bill Eaton, sisters-in-law, Leslie Eaton, Sandy O’Riley, Beth (Doug) Groshong and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as many close friends. Kathie was reunited in heaven with her parents, Donald J. Look Sr. and Lucile E. Look, her brother, Donald J. Look, her mother-in-law Betty J. Eaton, father-in-law, William J. (Jack) Eaton, brother-in-law, George L. Eaton, nephew, Troy Eaton, niece, Jamie O’Riley, and granddaughter, Jaelynn Gene Daniels. In honor of Kathie, when you read or hear her favorite scripture verse, “Be Still and Know that I Am God”, Psalms 46:10 - rejoice and be blessed because that is what Kathie’s legacy leaves behind.
