Karen L. Willoughby

Karen L. Willoughby, 71, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Wednesday January 4, 2023 after a long and hard battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her loved ones at the time of death.

She attended Oakdale elementary and Waite High School. For many years, she was a bar-maid at Jordan's Place in East Toledo. After retiring from bartending, to pass the time she starting working with her daughter, Michelle at Island Variety, also in East Toledo.

She was known for her infectious smile and beautiful eyes. She always looked forward to her annual vacations to Orlando, Florida with her family. She was a FAITHFUL donor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Karen enjoyed going to the casino to play her favorite slots. She also loved playing $20 scratch-off tickets and just relaxing at home watching Family Feud hosted by one of her favorite celebrities, Steve Harvey. She was also a HUGE fan of Kid Rock.

Karen is definitely missed by her "buddy" Cassie Dartt whom she visited sometimes for dinner that was always prepared by Lisa Harris.

Karen had one brother and two sisters who are still living.

She was preceded in death by "the love of her life" grandmother, Helen Langstaff and grandfather, Russell Langstaff who had a BIG part as raising her in her childhood. And also her mother and step-father.

She is survived by and deeply missed by her children, Lisa Willoughby, Michelle Willoughby (Kristy Dartt), Amanda Willoughby, Mailani Willoughby "favorite child"; grandchildren, Jamie Beaty, Alexis Beaty, Olivia Butler "Queenie", Nevaeh Wortham "the whole package", and DaMáje Wortham "favorite grandson"; great grandchildren, Myleigh Yoder and Maizlyn Berning.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" party for her at Bayside Catering and Banquet Hall, 2759 Seaman Road, Oregon, Ohio. A date has not been set yet, but will be posted to Facebook very soon.

Donations can be made to her daughter, Michelle via cashapp, PayPal, Venmo or at the time of her gathering. All donations will go towards her "Celebration of Life" and donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her name.
