Karen O. Wells

Karen Wells, 78, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born July 19, 1943 in Jacksonville, FL to the late James and Faye (Zehner) Hurrell. She was a graduate of Oak Harbor High School. Karen worked at Uniroyal, Riverview Nursing Home and Edgewood Manor Nursing Center. She married James A. Wells Jr. on January 15, 1999 and he preceded her in death. Karen enjoyed traveling to Jamaica, taking gambling trips and playing the Ohio Lottery. Karen is survived by her children, Kelly (Kevin) Bloemer of Oak Harbor and Kevin (Shari) Quillin of Thornton, CO; step-daughters, Gillian Wells (Shelley Cox) of Columbus, OH and Emily Below of Oak Harbor; grandchildren, Allyson (Tim) Webb, Lillee Bloemer, Caroline Quillin, Gabrielle, Seth, and Abigail Below, Morgan Wells-Cox, Luke Moore; great- grandchildren, Vincent, Maggie, and Elizabeth Webb; sister, Vicki (James) Bloom of Oak Harbor, OH and sister-in-law, Shellia (David) Holt of Clyde, OH. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Stephen Hurrell. There will be a reception for family and friends at Carroll Township Hall, 11080 W Toussaint East Rd on Friday May 20, 2022 at 11:00 am.
