Karen Kay
Krzyminski
February 7, 1959 – May 8, 2026
Karen Kay Kazmierczak Krzyminski, 67, passed away on May 8, 2026, leaving behind a world that feels far less colorful without her in it.
Karen lived boldly, loudly, and fully - like summer itself. She loved sunshine on her skin, dark bronzed skin, frozen piña coladas, pink flamingos, music turned up too loud, karaoke beneath colored lights, and holidays overflowing with sparkle, an over abundance amount of homemade Christmas cookies and holiday wonder. She carried both strength and softness within her, and those who knew her will remember her vibrant spirit, unforgettable presence, and the way she could light up a room simply by being in it.
Karen's life was beautifully human - imperfect, spirited, complicated, resilient, and deeply alive. She leaves behind memories filled with laughter, love, strength, and moments that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Erin Kimberly (William) and Jodi Krzyminski; her beloved grandson, Jack; and her siblings, Rick (Pam) Kazmierczak, Julie Newby, and David Kazmierczak.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Patricia Kazmierczak; her siblings, Bob and Janet Kazmierczak; her best friend, Kim; and many other beloved family members.
Karen will be remembered in the twinkling glow of overdecorated Christmas trees, in the sound of her favorite song, Sleigh Ride, filling a room during the holidays, and in every strand of lights that sparkle a little too brightly. She will be remembered in laughter echoing through kitchens, pink flamingos, and summer days where the sunshine feels warm enough to bronze your skin - just the way she loved it most. In all the little things that feel vibrant, bold, warm, and full of life, there will be pieces of Karen.
Some people leave gently. Karen left like her favorite season - warm, bold, unforgettable, and impossible not to feel.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 7, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with additional details to follow.
