Karen T. Holtgrieve

Karen passed away in the early morning hours of June 30, 2023 at the Blue Creek Nursing Home in Whitehouse, Ohio. She had been a resident there for several years due to her failing health after suffering a traumatic brain injury and other health issues. She was loved by the staff as well as the other residents.

Karen graduated from the former McAuley High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Dorothy McIntire and her brother, John. Karen is survived by her 3 grown children, Patricia (Scott) Shanteau, Michael Holtgrieve, and Victoria (Robert) Dixon; her sister, Mary Lou (Galen) DeVriendt; brother, Gary (Pam) McIntire; twin sister, Kathleen Abdel Massih; as well as many nieces and nephews. Karen was well loved and will be missed by many.

There will be no service at this time as Karen chose to be an organ donor and to have her remains cremated. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your local animal shelter, as Karen was an animal lover.
