Karen I. Berry

Karen I. Berry, age 74, passed away January 9, 2022 with her family by her side. She was born March 29, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Ernest W and Virginia (Hires) Berry; she was the 3rd of 8 children. Karen was a member of the first graduating class of Cardinal Stritch High. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and she was the best grandma, known to many as Grandma Karen. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Virginia (Hires) Berry and her brothers John, Mike, and Charles. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Frost; grandchildren Natalie Frost, Lucas Frost and Jillian Frost; brothers James (Paula) Berry, Pete (Becky) Berry; sisters Patricia (William) Seles, Katherine (Donald) Gedert; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank her home health aide, Angela Farris for taking such good care of her for the past seven years and the Doctors and Nurses at the Flower Hospital Emergency Room for their kindness. A celebration of Karen’s life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Maumee Valley Country Day School.
