June A. Reinbolt

On the morning of August 6th, 2022 June Alice Reinbolt died peacefully in her home at the age of 95.

June was born to Roscoe and Florence Hartman on July 9th, 1927. She graduated from Whitmer High School in 1945. She married Robert Lockard in 1947 and had four children. In 1974, June married Charles Reinbolt. They were married until he passed in 2000.

June enjoyed traveling and entertaining. Travel included Europe, California and yearly trips with Chuck to Florida. She liked coming home as much as the traveling. At home, there were visits from friends and family who often were treated to her famous German chocolate cake.

June treasured card games with Club. Club was a group of friends who met regularly since high school. For many years this was a weekly ritual to which she always looked forward. June’s best friend through all the years was Mary Janney. They shared a special friendship that grew as the years went past.

June loved her family and friends. Keeping up with everyone’s lives filled her life. Whether it was a phone call from out of town or visits from those nearby, she always wanted to hear the latest and was so happy to be in touch.

June was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Hartman; first and second husbands; son-in-law, John Schmidt; stepdaughter, Janet Goering, stepson, Charles Reinbolt, Jr.; step son-in-law, Gene Goering; step grandson, Glenn Reinbolt; granddaughter-in-law, Suellen Rydman. She is survived by children, Randy (Kathy) Lockard, Cindy (Greg) Rydman, Suzanne Schmidt, Tony (Nancy) Lockard; stepchildren, Don (Sue) Reinbolt, step daughter-in-law, Jeanie Reinbolt; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A celebration of life open house will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe Street, Toledo, Ohio on Saturday, October 22nd from 2-5 pm. A time for sharing memories will begin at 3:00 pm.
