Judith M. Viertlboeck

Judith Marie Viertlboeck, age 78, passed away on May 24, 2022, at home with her family by her side. Judy was born July 3rd, 1943, in Toledo, to the late Joe and Josephine Rutkowski. Judy graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1962. She received her Bachelor of English and Special Education degree at Bowling Green State University and her master’s degree at the University of Toledo. Although her career was mostly in education, Judy was a parole officer for the state of Ohio. She taught at Toledo Public Schools for over 30 years. When she wasn’t teaching or helping children, she loved to read. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tony Viertlboeck; children, Chris and Jessica Viertlboeck; brothers, Joe and Tim Rutkowski; sisters, Carol Barber and Alice Oldham. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Rutkowski. A Mass will be held at St. Clements Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10 am with an hour of gathering prior to Mass.
