Judith A. Busdieker

August 2, 1942 — June 24, 2025

Judith Ann Busdieker (Yeager), age 82, passed away June 24, 2025, at Lakes of Monclova, Maumee, Ohio. She was born August 2, 1942, in Findlay, Ohio, to Geneva and Noble Yeager.

Judith was raised by her parents in Sylvania, Ohio, where she attended Sylvania schools and became an avid sewer. She enjoyed spending time with her father at his work where she met her husband, Joseph Lee Busdieker. They were married in 1958. She gave birth to three children and, as they grew, she enjoyed helping them excel in scouting, baton twirling and drumming. She worked for the University of Toledo for a few years and then worked at Marathon Cleaners as a Manager and a Seamstress. She thoroughly enjoyed her workmates and clients. After retiring from the dry cleaning business, she continued doing sewing jobs for many.

When her children were young, Judith enjoyed spending time camping and fishing and cooking the game that her Joe’s brought home from their hunting trips. Along with sewing, Judith loved doing puzzles, reading, lottery scratch-offs, playing Bingo, playing cards and baking. She also loved her Detroit Tigers, watching and listening to as many games as she could. Judith thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when they came along and was known as "Meema" to them.

In 2017, after the death of her beloved husband, Judith stayed with her daughter, Jean, in Medina, Ohio, until a nearby apartment became available. Although she missed Joe, she made many friends and very much enjoyed her independence.

In February of this year, Judith suffered her third stroke which turned out to be quite major. She was hospitalized for weeks and then moved to an extended care facility showing no progress. A couple of months later, her children made a decision to move her to a nursing home in Toledo for better care and to be near relatives who could visit. She was cared for at a beautiful nursing home, The Lakes of Monclova. When it was apparent that Judith was quickly declining, her children brought in a Hospice team from Elara Caring. They kept her comfortable until she peacefully passed away in her sleep. Our hearts are heavy as we adjust to the loss of our mother, grandmother and friend.

Judith is survived by daughter, Joanne (Jim) Conn; daughter, Jean Hierholzer; son, Joseph (Lori) Busdieker; grandchildren, Anna Busdieker, Dan (Brandy) Busdieker, Amanda (Jason) Woytus, and Michael (Sofia) Hierholzer and her great-grandchildren; Mikayla Busdieker, Alexa Busdieker, Danika Busdieker, and Alivia Woytus. Preceding her in death were her husband, Joseph Busdieker; father, Noble Yeager; mother, Geneva Yeager; sister, Norma Aho; and brother, Richard Yeager.

Judith is laid to rest with the Cremation Society of Toledo. We appreciate their professionalism and heartfelt care. Contributions in memory of Judith Ann Busdieker can be made to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital or Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Though she has left to be with the Lord, her love will forever remain in our hearts. Till we meet again....rest in peace.
