Joyce E. Krueger

September 19, 1932 — April 13, 2025

Joyce E. (Knaggs) Krueger, 92, of Toledo, Ohio, peacefully embraced the open arms of the Lord, April 13, 2025, Palm Sunday, at Hospice of NW Ohio. Born in Toledo, Ohio, to Benjamin and Lucille (Abbott) Knaggs. She was a longtime resident of Ohio, residing 20 years in Port Charlotte, Florida, with her beloved husband, Gerald "Jerry", before returning to spend the last 7 years in Toledo. She was a graduate of Scott High School.


She dearly loved her blended family, enjoyed gardening, boating, camping, drawing and the arts, but especially traveling the country by motorcycle with Jerry, family, friends, and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. In her younger years, she competed locally as a roller skate dancer, played racquetball, was a member of the Ohio Daughters of Rebekahs, was a Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, and an Ambassador at Senior Living Community at Alexis Gardens. She also worked several jobs over the years at Spartan Chemical Co., Trans-World Shipping Co., and Designetics, as a Payroll Specialist.


Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald W. Krueger; son, Herbert Myrice Jr.; brother, Victor Knaggs; and former husband, Herbert Myrice Sr. She is survived by daughters, Vicki (Rick) Matuszewski and Darlene (Dan) Royster; stepsons, Rodney (Linda) Krueger, Mark Krueger (Barb Logan), Scott (Suzanne) Krueger; stepdaughter, Amy (William) Wagner; along with 17 grandchildren and step-grandchildren; 26 great/step-great-grandchildren; 7 great-great/step-great-great grandchildren; sister, Juanita "Nita" (Fred) Harrington; special cousin, Sylvia Stockwell; many nieces, nephews, and friends.


The Family would like to extend their sincere "thank you" to the Holiday Senior Living at Alexis Gardens facility, staff, and residential "friends", all of whom were crucial to her well-being and longevity. Also, the wonderful Neuro ICU doctors and nurses at Toledo Hospital, and the invaluable compassionate staff and nurses at Hospice of NW Ohio, in Sylvania, Ohio.


A celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by the Cremation Society of Toledo.
