Joshua John Stroud, “Rusty”, 28, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on May 8th, 2020. Josh was born in Toledo, Ohio to Linda and Duane Stroud on May 11, 1992. Throughout his life, he had a strong connection and appreciation of books, movies, and music. He was known outwardly for maintaining an impressive beard, having numerous tattoos, wearing Burberry cologne, and developing an extensive collection of band shirts. More significantly, Josh was a sincerely kindhearted and thoughtful person. He absolutely loved sharing his humor and could effortlessly bring about a smile, no matter the situation. Josh is treasured by many for being an endlessly devoted and loyal friend. He always had a way of bringing people together and ensuring everyone was having a good time. Josh was grateful when receiving even the smallest kind gesture and was sure to voice his appreciation. He lived gently and with reverence for animals and nature. Josh forged unbreakable bonds with those who were lucky enough to have known him. He was a loving son, brother, and grandson. Josh is survived by his mother, Linda Stroud; his father, Duane Stroud; his seeeister, Evaleigh Stroud; his grandmother, Mimi Grasser; his grandfather, Chuck Grasser; his closest friends that he loved like family; and his adorable fur baby, Lillith Rusty Shackleford. He will be missed beyond measure. Aligned to his beliefs, Josh was cremated and returned to the earth. Your respects can be paid whenever you take a moment to appreciate the beauty that surrounds us during our time here.
