Joseph “Don” Hauser, 96, of Waterville Ohio, peacefully passed away October 14, 2026, with his daughter at his side. Don was born in Newton Falls, Ohio, to Joseph and Mary Hauser.

Don spent his younger years in Monroe, Michigan, and graduated from Monroe High School. He worked for over 40 years at the Libby-Owens-Ford Technical Center.

Don married the love of his life, Betty, on July 11, 1953, and together they had 2 children.

They spent many happy summers at their cottage on Lime Lake where Don was the captain of “Der Floatin’ Boatin” and “The Lime Lake Lemon”. Don was one of the kindest, most accepting, and least judgmental people you could ever meet. He was also known for his incredible patience, and his ability to figure out how to fix anything! In retirement, Don was an ardent supporter of his grandkids various activities, traveling far and wide to watch them. He spent countless hours poolside watching swim meets.

Don was reunited after death with his wife, Betty; son, David; sister, Bette; and sisters-in-law, Loraine Grandpair and Kathy Ganzi.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Dianna (Dan) MacDonald; grandchildren, Liz (Darren) Ross and Daniel (Kaitlyn) MacDonald; and great-grandchildren, Rylee, Banks, and Baker Ross and Luke MacDonald.

Interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
