John J. Sparks

John J. Sparks, entered eternal glory on August 20, 2025, at the age of 68. A son, brother, uncle and friend, John showed selfless kindness and compassion to all who were fortunate enough to share life with him. John had an ever-ready quick wit and a smile that will be missed.

Born on April 20, 1957 in Toledo Ohio to Richard H. and Peggy M. (Cook) Sparks, he enjoyed music, art, gardening and birds. John was employed for the entirety of his working years for the Toledo Public Schools system.

John is survived by two sisters, including Judith Honsberger (Florida). He was predeceased by his parents, brother Richard H. Sparks Jr. and brother-in-law John “Mike” Honsberger. He also leaves 11 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and many cousins.

John’s immediate family has chosen to privately honor and celebrate his life.
