John A. Sanzenbacher, Jr.

John A. Sanzenbacher, Jr, age 65, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away November 27, 2015. He was born to John and Dolores (Crawford) Sanzenbacher on May 27, 1950 in Toledo. John was a proud Bowsher High School graduate, class of 1968. He went on to receive a Bachelors Degree and a Masters Degree in Reading from Bowling Green State University. John taught at Monroe Middle School in Monroe, MI for 17 years before retiring in 2005. He was a member of Oak Bend Church, where he played percussion and the harmonica with the worship team. John was a cycling enthusiast, even restoring and collecting bicycles; he found great joy in giving children bicycles he restored just for them. He loved music, movies, and spending time at his cottage in Clear Lake, IN. He enjoyed being on the water, whether it was fishing, water skiing or just relaxing near the lake. More than anything, John enjoyed spending time with his family. Left to cherish Johns memory are his wife, Debra (Bryan); children, Kristen (Steve) Gallagher, Sarah (Jeremy) Headrick, Jeremy (Connie) Pratt, and Scott (Rebecca Bynum) Sanzenbacher; grandchildren, Steven and Kaitlyn Gallagher, Autumn and Alyssa Headrick, and Nolan Pratt; sister, Linda (Joseph) Burns; and his furry son, Georgie. John was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Barbara (Boyer) Sanzenbacher. A celebration of Johns life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Oak Bend Church, 11275 Eckel Junction Rd, Perrysburg, OH 43551, at 2 PM.
