John Robert Smith

John Robert Smith, 68, passed away on April 25, 2026, in Fremont Ohio .

John is survived his wife, Rebecca Smith; daughter, Kellie Benavidez (Jessica); step children, Christina Keller (George), Michael Holland, and Bobbi Reynolds (Damon); and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his son, Bobby Benevidez; parents, Ben and Margaret Smith; brothers, Joe and Mike; and sister, Mary.

John dedicated over 30 years of service to D's LP gas, and Crown Battery and Whirlpool.

The Celebration of Life for John Smith will be held on Saturday, May 30th, at The Strand Theater located in Fremont, Ohio, from 11am-2pm.

Memorial donations can be made in John's name to your preferred non profit in his honor.
