John Alfred Martin

John Alfred Martin, 75 departed this life peacefully to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 6:52 AM at the Toledo Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Martin was born December 19, 1935 in Griffin, Georgia to Mr. and Mrs. John Alfred (Agnes) Martin Sr., His family later moved to Fostoria Ohio. After a brief stay in the Army John meets and marries Mrs. Fern Evans of Fostoria, Ohio. To this union two sons and a daughter was born Denise, Kim, and Keith Martin. John was employed at the Ford Motor Company and Atlas crankshaft company where he worked for a number of years. John will be remembered and missed for his fun-loving ways, teasing and his momentous gift of gab by his family and friends that knew him. Mr. John A. Martin was not only a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather and uncle he was also a great friend. Family members who preceded him in death are his grandparents; parents Mr. and Mrs. John a Martin Sr., Brother Mr. Ed Martin, Ms. Deborah K Martin- Tucker, daughter Ms. Denise Martin Burel, son Mr. Keith Martin, and daughter-in-law Mrs. Gail Taylor Martin. Mr. Martin leaves to rejoice his home going; Mrs. Fern Martin, sons Kim Martin, of Fostoria, Ohio, Frankie Martin, of Detroit, Michigan, Johnny Martin of Virginia, Alfred Martin of Virginia, and Trent Wells of Paulding, Ohio; daughters Mrs. Sally Wingfield of California, Mrs. Treva (James) Reese of Madison, Wisconsin, Mrs. Aretha (Santiago) Andrade of Findlay, Ohio, brothers Gary Martin of Fostoria, Ohio and Larry (Rose) Martin of Fostoria, Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends of the family.
