John T. Kleeberger

John Thomas Kleeberger, born in Toledo, Ohio on October 15, 1953 passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 22, 2022 in Metamora, Ohio.

John was born to Anthony and Virginia Kleeberger. He was raised in Rossford, Ohio. John graduated from Rossford High School. In 1974 John joined the United States Army and became a Military Police Officer. He was stationed in New York and Germany. After his service in the Army he went back to work for Food Town Grocery Store. He later worked as a part-time Metamora police officer and as a United States Postal Worker where he retired. Recently, he worked part-time at the Toledo Coin Exchange.

John had a very kind and thoughtful heart. He frequently thought of others and was very caring and generous. He had a very sweet smile that was genuine. He had various interesting hobbies that he would share and teach others about. John had a strong passion for learning about world history. When he traveled, he would focus on the historical aspect of the region, especially while traveling throughout Europe. One of his favorite places he loved visiting besides Europe, was the Big Island of Hawaii.

John is survived by his sister Barbara Fife, brothers Donald (Donna), Jim, and David. His nieces and nephews Wendy, Scott, Jason, Mark, Kevin, Kyle, Tyler, Karishma, Chris, and Brandon. Many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Virginia, brother Gerald “Duffy”, sister Carol Richardson, nephews Michael and Christopher Richardson.
