John Irons

John Irons, of Holland, passed away on March 29, 2018, at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio after a short illness. John was born April 26, 1954, the youngest of a large south Toledo family. He was educated in Toledo Public Schools, graduated from Danbury/Lakeside High School and in 1976 The University of Toledo. While in college, John was an editor of the Campus Collegian and served as a youth leader at the Friendly Center and the Boys and Girls Club of Toledo. A career as a skilled craftsman and furniture maker led him to Charlotte, Vermont, where he lived for many years. John was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Virginia Irons and is survived by sisters, Judy Turner of North Ridgeville and Victoria Hall; as well as brothers, James of Brooklyn, NY, Lee (Barb) of Holland, Charles (Marie), Phil (Patti) of Erie, MI, David (Wanda) of Mesa, AZ and William. His loving survivors include many special nephews and nieces, cousins and extended family and dear friends.
