John S. Bunker

On Thursday, September 23rd, 2021 John S. Bunker, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo, Ohio. John was born on April 13th, 1941 in Toledo, Ohio to George and Ann (Del Brocco) Bunker. He began a 40 year career in the construction industry as a cement mason and retired as a superintendent for A A Boos & Sons. He had a passion for the game of golf and enjoyed getting out on the course as often as he could over the past 50 years. On June 26th, 1965 he married Gloria Contreras. John had 2 sons, John and Aaron and a daughter, Danielle. John was preceded in death by his father, George; mother, Ann and sister Angie (Bunker) Rojek. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; brother, George (Sue); brother, Russel (Georgia); half-sister, Kathy Athy; son, John; son, Aaron; daughter, Danielle (Scott) Kessler and his grandsons Aidan and Jack. It was John’s wish that all funeral services be private. In honor of John, donations to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
