Joanne R. Toth

With great sadness, the Toth and Kovacs families announce the passing of our loving, kind, and vivacious cousin, Joanne R. Toth. She was born on September 11, 1934, and died on February 23, 2023, at the age of 88. She was a lifetime resident of Toledo and Oregon, Ohio, and an active member of Saint Stephens Church. She was an avid world traveler including having been to Egypt and China twice each. She loved the theater and was a long-time member of the Village Players Theatre and ushered at the Stranahan Theater. She graduated from Central Catholic High School and she had a long career in the medical field, supporting neurosurgeon, Dr. J. Hugh Webb and performing transcription and other support services for Toledo Hospital. She worked part-time up to a month before her passing.

She was the only child of John and Helen Toth, who preceded her in death. Her family and friends will miss her dearly and will celebrate her life with a Mass on Saturday, April 22, 2023 at St. Stephens Church, 1880 Genesee Street at 11:00 am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Stephens Church or the Village Players Theatre.
