Joanne Glenn

Joanne Marie Glenn, age 94, of Lakes of Sylvania in Sylvania, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, in the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Joanne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Vernon Glenn, who passed away 12 years ago. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Lloyd and Marvin Walters; and sister, Donna Mortensen. She is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Cherry Glenn Keister and son-in-law Earl Keister; her sons, Mark Glenn and Michael Glenn, and Michael’s wife Christine; three grandchildren, Steven, Dawn, and Nicholas; and five cherished great-grandchildren.

Joanne lived a full and meaningful life, finding joy in simple pleasures and lasting memories. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and reading, and held a special fondness for Alaska, which remained one of her favorite places. She also cherished her retirement years spent with her husband in Wildwood, Florida, creating many happy memories together. Above all, she treasured time with her family and will be remembered for her quiet strength, warmth, and love.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at Lakes of Sylvania for their kindness and care, as well as to Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their comfort and support.

Joanne will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
