Joanne M. Dougherty

Joanne M. Dougherty, 85 of Oregon, passed away on January 2, 2021 at Kingston of Perrysburg. She was born on October 13,1935 in Toledo, Ohio to Harold and Louise Henry. Joanne had worked for Oregon City Schools for 25 years and when she retired was head cook for Starr elementary. She enjoyed Bingo and going to the casino. She married her husband Marvin in 1953, and they enjoyed 67 years together. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Betty Berger, Bill Henry, and Patty Porter and sister-in-law Donna Nutt. Joanne is survived by her husband Marvin (Doc) Dougherty; daughters Debra (Doug) Dippman and Pamela (Bob) Shields; son Michael (Cathy) Dougherty; grandchildren Andrea (Patrick) Siparsky, Jamie (Rob) Noble, Kendra (Derek) Zenk, Patrick (Erin) Shields, Andrew (Rachel) Shields, Danielle Dougherty, Michael Dougherty, and Matthew Dougherty; and 10 great grandchildren. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private service for family only will be held in her honor. Memorial donations may be given to the Toledo Area Humane Society.
