Joan E. Boyer

Joan E. Boyer, age 90, passed away peacefully at home on May 15, 2013. She was born August 16, 1922 to Botner and Lucile (Irvin) Elam. Joan was a 1941 graduate of Columbus North High School and attended Ohio State University. She was employed for many years as Director of Christian Education at St. Michaels in The Hills Episcopal Church. She is survived by her sons: John B. (Mary Lynn). and Jeffery C. Boyer; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren along with many cousins. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Boyer and her parents. A Resurrection Celebration will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013, 11 am at St. Michaels in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4718 Brittany Rd, Toledo, with a reception immediately following. Memorial contributions in Joans name are suggested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
