Jo Ann R. Zunk

Jo Ann (Keeley) Zunk, 86, of Toledo, OH, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021. She was born July 14, 1935 to Robert and Ruth Keeley. She was a graduate of Waite High School. She worked her way up through the ranks at Toledo Trustcorp Bank, retiring from the Department of Bank Investments. She was Past President Riverview Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary and Co-Chair Chaplain of Satin Gavel for Riverview Yacht Club, a member of International Satin Gavel, Outing Unlimited and St. Mark Lutheran Church. On April 18, 1953, she married Merlin “Pete” Zunk and together they raised five children. They spent 68 years by each other’s side until his passing on November 12, 2021. Jo Ann enjoyed working with colleagues and customers at the bank, volunteering, and most of all, loved family and friends. She is survived by children, Cindy (Aryan) Mooss, Sue (David) Baumhower, Joe (Kay Ball) Zunk, Tom (Cindy) Zunk and Terry (Joan) Zunk; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with Mia Rae on the way; sister, Nancy Sedlak; sisters-in-law Carol Keeley, Janet Buschmann, Marilyn Zunk, and Judy (Jim) Crawford. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin “Pete” Zunk; parents; brother, Robert Keeley; brothers-in-law, William Sedlak, Lyle (Marcie) Zunk, Leland (Joanne) Zunk and Dale (Mary) Zunk; sisters-in-law, Geraldine (Clem) Przyojski, Donna (Gene) Siebenaler, and Gloria (Dick) Soncrant; and grandson, Jeremy Baumhower. Funeral Services are being postponed due to Covid-19 concerns. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Mark Lutheran Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
