Jimmie Lee Ganues

The Ganues family is mourning the loss of Jimmie Lee Ganues, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, at the age of 86.

He was born to parents John and Rose (Holcomb) Ganues on April 25, 1937 in Jasper, GA. After moving to Harbor View in 1943 and attending Clay High School, he married Beverley Johnson, the love of his life, in 1958 at the Harbor View Missionary Baptist Church.

Jim began his apprenticeship with the IBEW Local 8 in 1960 and retired in 1999. He was an avid walker at Pearson Park and loved watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play organized sports.

Jim is survived by his children, Jim, Jennifer, John (Kathy), and Jack (Kim); grandchildren, Jared (Jean), Justin, Jeff (Lindsay), Danielle (Tommy), Michael (Jessica), and Shelly; and great grandchildren, Maverick, Bodhi, Wyatt, Austin, Brock, and Zoe.

Memorial contributions in Jim’s name may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
