Jesus Ybarra

Jesus “Jesse” Ybarra, 63, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving children. He was born in Toledo on June 6, 1962, to his parents, Ernesto and Catarina (Lucio) Ybarra.

Jesse found happiness in life’s simple pleasures—watching his favorite football team, the Miami Dolphins, firing up the grill during the summertime, and gathering with family and friends. Those who knew him will never forget his love for Pepsi, or his famous hot wings and deviled eggs that he proudly brought to every family gathering. Jesse will be remembered for his love, his loyalty, and the countless lives he touched simply by being himself.

Jesse is survived by his sisters, Bella (Harvey), Belma (Joseph), Camila (Bill), and Tina (Rick); his children, Manuel (Cassie), Jesse Jr. (Kayleen), Estevan, Victoria (Nick), Daniel (Katie), Vincente, and Jermain (Queen); his grandchildren, Manuel Jr., Mariah, Jesse III, Estevan Jr., Romeo, Marianna, Esmeralda, Dominic, Alyssa, Angelo, Esebio, Antonio, Orlondo, Estevan III, Jayda, Emiliano, Amirah, Isabella, Mariano, Miguel, Tamela, Natalie, Marco, Vincente Jr., Adlynn, and Dakota; and his great-grandchildren, Blanca, Catarina, Manuel III, Diego Jr., Jorge Jr., Raya, Valarie, and Kira. He is also lovingly remembered by many cherished nieces and nephews.

Jesse leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories. His greatest joy was loving his children and grandchildren, and his legacy will live on through them. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Juan and Pedro; and his precious daughter, Analicia.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no viewing. A Mass will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Clement Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd., Toledo, Ohio 43613. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after the Mass at Greenwood Elementary, 760 North Lawn Drive, Toledo, Ohio 43612.
