Jerry T. Wilson

Jerry Wilson passed away on April 26, 2024, while at St. Vincent Hospital, under the loving care of their staff, and the assistance of hospice. Over the years, Jerry bore with dignity and courage the many setbacks he suffered from illness.

He is survived by his spouse, Joyce, daughter, Jodi, (Matt Gustafson) and sister, Pat (Joe Rodriguez); brother-in-law, Al Santus (Renee) and sister-in-law, Beverly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jane and Joseph Wilson, brothers, Joseph (Boomer), Denny and Mickey, and sister, Mary.

He served in the U.S. Army in Germany, during the Vietnam era.

Jerry loved music, but especially Motown and Classic Rock; he smiled whenever he heard Mick Jagger singing. He was a friend to animals and always adopted homeless pets, his favorite being a boxer mix called “Winston”, adopted in 2017.

Jerry was a people person without even trying. He would sit quietly in a room and people were just drawn to him. He never met a stranger.

Most of all, Jerry felt a deep love for his family, who surrounded him during his passing.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a pet shelter, such as the Humane Society.
