Jennifer A. Taft

Jennifer Taft passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2023. She was born Jennifer Ann Blaine on December 15, 1982, the daughter of Carl and Nellie Blaine, of Wauseon, Ohio. On November 2, 2012, she married her beloved husband, Charlie Taft and on September 27, 2011, Jennifer gave birth to her son CJ, who was the light of her life.


Jennifer is survived by her loving husband, Charles; her son, CJ; one sister, Michelle (Jeremiah Riley) Blaine; her sister/friend, Amy (Jeremie Blaker) Cook; two uncles, Elga Sam Lunsford and Archie (Paula Liby) Lunsford, who were as close as siblings to Jen; mother and father in law, Charles, and Cathy Taft; brother and sister in laws, Casie (Matt) Kosier, Chris (Chelsea) Taft, and Corey (Sarah) Taft; and many nieces and nephews. Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents and one unborn baby.


Jennifer was a stay-at-home mom, who loved crafting, spending time with her family, friends, and dogs. She was often found camping and she loved all things holidays. Jennifer graduated in 2001, from Wauseon High School and continued her education at Northwest State Community College, earning an associate degree in medical billing, in 2005.

A celebration of her life will be held on September 17, 2023, at Reighard Park (next to Wauseon Pool) in the shelter next to the restrooms, from 12:00-3:00 p.m
