Jeffrey Soldwish

Jeffrey David Soldwish, age 62, unexpectedly passed from this world on May 16, 2025. He was born on October 12, 1962, in Toledo, Ohio and raised in Perrysburg. He was the son of Minnie and Norman Soldwish, the youngest of four children. He was a mischievous child spending his days outdoors playing in the neighborhood and making lifelong friends. He graduated from Perrysburg High School, along with Penta County Vocational School, completing studies in Construction/Electricity. He was a loyal employee of Envelope Mart since 1981 and considered Norm Shapiro and staff as family. Jeff found great pleasure in making people laugh and enjoy life.

He was married to Mary “Cookie” Hooper, who passed in 2004. He began a devoted journey with his love, Cheryl Wendt Monroe, twenty years ago. Although they never married, family and friends considered Cheryl and Jeffrey as one. He loved her family as his own and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jeff leaves behind his loving partner, Cheryl; son, Thomas (Robin) Wendt; grandchildren, Isaac, Maxwell, Zach (Amber), and Ashley (Moe); great-grandchildren, Ayden, Jaxson, Miles, and Parker; mother-in-law, Lila Eaton; sister-in-law, Lori (Joel) Rupp; siblings, Patti (Andy) Marshinsky, Norman (Katie) Soldwish, and Neal (Courtney) Soldwish; stepmother, Patricia Soldwish; sister-in-law, Debbie Soldwish, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Minnie Karr, Norman Soldwish and Robert Karr; brother, Michael Soldwish; spouse, Cookie; and father-in-law, Ken Eaton.

There will be no service. A celebration of life will take place in July because Jeff would want us all to celebrate his life. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
