Jeffrey G. Elam

Jeffrey Gene “Juvenile” Elam, age 57, of Toledo, OH went to be with our Lord Monday, February 28, 2022. Jeff was born on May 7th, 1964 at St. Vincent’s Hospital to Mary Ritchie and William J. “Wild Bill” Elam. He was raised in the north end of Toledo attending school and growing up when times were simple. He could sometimes be rough around the edges, but those who knew and loved him knew he had a good heart with a kind soul. When he was a young teenager he started working as a roofer alongside his brothers and friends. They worked together for many years. In recent years he had done handyman work and really enjoyed it. He liked to keep his sister updated on all the daily news and spending time with her on the weekends. Jeff was a lifetime fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and “THE” Ohio State Buckeyes football teams, “Go Bucks”. He enjoyed talking with his brothers about the games. He liked to take his pole over to the water by his home to fish and to treat himself to a Bambino’s pizza while watching the Andy Griffith show and listening to his beloved birds, George and Corky, whistling to tune. Jeff has 6 children and 8 grandchildren whom he loved and cherished with his whole heart. He was very proud of his family and would hug them so tight when he saw them. He was known as Uncle J to many nieces and nephews whom he also loved to see grow up to have families of their own. He was always proud of them as well as his children. Jeff was a simple man who cherished his family and friends. He was always grateful for the people around him. He will be missed by his family and friends and will forever be in their hearts. Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ritchie (West-Stith) and William J. Elam; maternal grandparents, Russell Campbell and Veronica Theresa West (Flack); paternal grandparents, Carless Thomas and Dollie M. Elam (McPherson); brother-in-law, George Weiler. He is survived by five daughters, Kelly Littrell (John), Shelly Woodard (Michael), Ashely Heatherly (Wesley), Michelle Elam (Brandon), Taylor Elam; son, Zachary Elam; sister, Theresa Weiler; brothers, Andrew Carlyle Elam (Angela), William “Buzz” Elam (Kathryn), Terry Elam; 8 grandchildren, Gage, Trig, Kaybreana, Tayvin, Chloe, Axel, Nolyn, Ethon; Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; special friend, Tammy Durrim Borysiak. The family of Jeffrey Elam will be holding a Celebration of Life on March 18th, 2022 at Pearson Park. Location will be Pearson Macomber Lodge, 4701 Navarre Ave., Oregon, Ohio 43616. Family will be there from 2:00pm to 8:00pm. Special service will start at 5:30pm. All family and friends are invited to come celebrate Jeff’s life and share memories.
