Janis A. Montgomery

Janis Ann Montgomery, born 1941 in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee to Commie and Marie (Span) Montgomery. Janis passed away peacefully November 20 2021 at home with family by her side. She has two sons, Daniel (Jenifer) Gobbell amd Duane Gobbell; granddaughter, Danielle Gobbell; four step-grand kids, Tim (Amanda) Kruse, Sarah (Josh) Smith, Bethany Futch; sisters, Wanda Burd, Donna Coffman, Karen (William) Gobbell. Janis graduated Whitney High School in 1959 and then went to David Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. She worked for Norfolk and Western Railway from 1968 until she retired. Janis had an adventurous spirit that took her all over the United States exploring with her sisters. She worked and played hard. She liked to snowmobile, zipline, ski, boating, and working on her house. She liked to make old things look new. She attended Hope Baptist church to study for final exam. No funeral service will be performed for Janis, per her requests, her body was donated to University of Michigan. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their help and support.
