Janice A. Muñoz

December 10, 1946 — October 19, 2023

On October 19, 2023, Janice (Anderson) Munoz of Toledo, Ohio, beloved sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away. She was 76. Janice was known for her love, compassion, sense of humor and generous spirit.

She was predeceased by her parents Mary Lenore and Lawrence “Bud” Anderson and her husband Pedro “Pete” Munoz. She is survived by her children Keith Munoz (Audra) and Kim Rodriguez (Jessie); her grandchildren Keith Munoz, Maria Place and Shane Munoz; her great-grandchildren Scarlet Place and Kendall Place; and her sister Mary “Pottsie” Anderson.

Janice graduated from Start High School in 1964. She was a stay at home mother most of her life and her children and grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She had a talent for turning the simplest tasks into fun and made a point to celebrate all of her children’s accomplishments. She hosted many pool parties for her children, friends and family and loved spending holidays in her home with big family gatherings. Her home was also a place for spontaneous gatherings for her children and their friends and was always open to family members that needed a temporary place to live. After her children were grown, she went to work at K-Mart on Alexis Road as a greeter and retired as a manager after 15 years.

Janice suffered from Alzheimer’s for many years and was lovingly cared for at home by her daughter, Kim. The family wishes to thank Foundation Park staff for the care they also provided for Janice in her last 5 years.

Per Janice’s wishes, no funeral or memorial services will be held.
