Janet Spitulski, 70, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away on July 16th, 2026, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Janet was born in Toledo, Ohio, on December 24, 1955, alongside her twin sister, Marie, to Raymond and Irene (Braciak) Spychala.

Janet dedicated more than 30 years of her career to the Jeep Corporation. She was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and the Toledo Mud Hens and never missed an opportunity to enjoy a good polka. Her love of music, laughter, and dancing reflected the joyful spirit she carried throughout her life.

Janet was the proud mother of two sons, J Matthew Beil (Angie) and J Justin Beil (Shelly). She was a devoted Busia to eight grandchildren, Addison, Raegan, Annaleigh, Tessa, Logan, Elliot, Hudson, and Julia. Being their Busia was her greatest joy and the role she cherished most.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Irene Spychala, and her brothers, David, Thomas, and Charles.

Janet is survived by her sisters, Judith (Dan) Edwards, Kathryn (George) Beakas, and her twin sister, Marie (Mike) Jankowski; sister-in-law, Deb Spychala; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives she touched.

Janet lived life on her own terms, with enthusiasm, laughter, and an unmistakable spark. She adored polka dancing, had a special fondness for flamingos that brought color and fun wherever they appeared, and found her happiest moments in her beloved “She Shed,” surrounded by nature. Whether tending to her peaceful retreat, cheering on her favorite baseball teams, enjoying time with family, or simply soaking in the beauty of the outdoors, she embraced every moment. Her kindness, humor, generous heart, and vibrant spirit will be remembered always by those who knew and loved her.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the compassion, comfort and kindness shown to her and our family. Your gentle care during the difficult time will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.

Per her wishes, no formal funeral services will be held. Instead, family and friends are invited to join us for a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm at one of her favorite places, The Whitehouse Inn.
