Janet Ann Sayre

Janet (Dolly) Ann (Butler) Sayre, born on July 24, 1933 passed away peacefully at 89 years of age on May 23, 2023 at Kingston Care Center in Sylvania, Ohio. Janet was a tenaciously outspoken individual who spent many of her years making friends with anyone she came across, especially in her bank line where she worked as a bank teller for many years. She loved nature including birds, especially hummingbirds and had a wonderful green thumb that she used to grow many flowers throughout her lifetime.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents Paul H. Butler and Marie Butler,brothers Harold Butler, Phillip Butler, Dan Butler, sister Virginia Young and her husband Raymond Sayre. She is remembered fondly by her son and daughter in law Michael R. Sayre and Terry L. Sayre, her 4 grandchildren Brittany R. Galens, Brysen L. Sayre, Marquita M. Metzger and Michael B. Sayre and her 4 great-grandchildren, Samuel, Ezekiel, Micah and Corinne, sister Janice Moore along with many more family members and friends.

Her family would like to thank Kingston Care Center of Sylvania and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their wonderful care and kindness. Janet’s family will be holding a small Celebration of Life service for her on Sunday June 18, 2023 at Redemption Church in Monclova, Ohio from 1pm-3pm.
