Janet Marie Meyerhofer

Janet Meyerhofer was born in Lucas County, Ohio on August 13, 1945 to Edward and Edna Meyerhofer. She passed away peacefully at her home on January 8, 2025.

Janet was a member of the Sunshine Communities family since 2000, when she moved into the Parkside Family Care Home, in Wauseon, where she lived until 2022. At that time, she moved to the Olimphia Family Care Home in Toledo.

Janet had a beautiful smile, and would greet you with a wave or a tap to get your attention. She liked to get dressed up with her jewelry and her nails polished to match her outfits, and then show it off to all of her friends. She had an amazing collection of jewelry and hair accessories that was the envy of all. She loved purses and all things sparkly. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat and to the movies. She was very affectionate and liked to be close to people. She enjoyed listening to music, particularly Aretha Franklin, and watching TV (football) with her housemates.

Janet is survived by her sister, Anita Lynne Leu, of Fort Myers, Florida, two nieces Becky and Connie. She is also loved and missed by her Olimphia housemates and friends at Sunshine’s Vocational Room 3.
