Jan Nalora Heyman

Jan Nalora Heyman (Cunningham) of Toledo, OH passed away in Promedica Hospice, on Thursday June 8th, 2017. She was 68 years old. Jan is survived by her loving husband Richard Heyman, her children, Dawn Faye Ronski (Dennis Ronski) and Richard Heyman (Sherry Heyman) her four grandchildren; Carson Mirandah Ronski, Emme Joy Ronski, Allyson Heyman, and Alexander Heyman; her brothers; Brooks Cunningham and James Thrun, and her sister Penny (Cunningham) Lanning. She is preceded in death by her sister, Jerilyn (Welch) Sharpe; her brother, Max Cunningham (Melissa Cunnigham); her parents, Brooks Leo Cunningham and Helen Faye (Bass) Shively. Jan was born on April 6, 1949 in Port Clinton, OH to Brooks and Helen Cunningham. She graduated from Ross High School in Fremont, OH. She married Richard Heyman on October 8,1970 and the pair remained in Fremont, OH where they ran a successful Restaurant and Motel business for 30+ years. She was an avid Gardener and Crafter. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, decorating and loving on her puppies Dempsey, Loki, and Piper; but there was nothing she enjoyed more than spending time with her Grandchildren Carson Ronski, Emme Ronski, Allyson Heyman, and Alex Heyman. Her love for her husband Ric and her children knew no bounds and was a driving force in her fight for survival all of these years. Her children remember her as a kind, happy, loving and forgiving soul. Jan was an active and dedicated member of the Swanton Garden Club for many years. She was a hard-working individual who built her life alongside her husband in many different business ventures. Jan passed away peacefully at Promedica Hospice after battling Diabetes, Cancer, and Kidney Disease for over 15 years. She will be remembered as a woman of great strength and generosity. A Service is scheduled for Friday, June 16th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Annes Catholic Church at 1021 W. State St, Fremont, OH 43420, with a Luncheon to follow at 1 p.m. located at Crystal Arbors Catering at 1800 E. State St. N, Fremont, OH 43420. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Jans life.
