James Martin Zeller

James Martin Zeller, 84, of Erie, Michigan peacefully joined his Lord and Savior on June 27, 2018. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed travelling and camping with his family. Later in life Jim purchased a motor home with his wife and travelled across the US and Mexico. He was also an avid woodworker and enjoyed golfing with friends. Jim was also an active church member for 60 years at Messiah Lutheran Church, and he was employed with the Toledo Edison for 40 years before retiring. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and daughter-in-law, Laurie. He leaves behind his loving wife of 63 years, Donna; children, Suzan (Don) Sherlock, Diane (Jon) Barbara, Martin Zeller, and Brenda (James) Cureton; grandchildren, Samantha (Ben), Stephanie, Adrienne (Tony), Gabrielle (Ryan), James (Katey), Adam, Beth (Mark), Paul, and Ryan (Cayla); great-grandchildren, Lucas, Adeline, Lily, Evangeline, Amelia, Avery, Marilyn, and one on the way; also, the Neizgoda family. A memorial service commemorating Jim’s life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Messiah Lutheran Church, 4703 Summit St, Toledo, OH. The family will welcome guests at 10AM with services following at 11AM. Those wishing to donate in Jim’s memory are asked to consider Messiah Lutheran Church.
